Love your neighbor as yourself

What words are flung from your mouth, indiscriminately aimed at your own reflection? 

What empathy is it to look upon others, wish them well, yet speak the opposite to yourself? 

If you claim to hold empathy, why not let it subdue you, too?

In Matthew 22:39, the Lord says,

“Love your neighbor as yourself.”

Of the love you give to your mother, your father, your sisters, and your brothers— do you not spare any for yourself? 

Give yourself the love you deserve; the same love you so freely give to others.
